I – Waist relax
Lay the pants flat and smooth out any wrinkles or folds. Locate the narrowest part of the pants, usually around the middle. Measure straight across this area from one side seam to the other, making sure the pants is not gathered or bunched under the tape. This is the waist measurement of the pants.
K – Waist stretch
For stretch pants, lay the garment flat and measure the waistband from one side to the other. Double this measurement to get the full waist size. Please note, as these are stretch pants, the waist measurement will be smaller than the actual waist size as the material is designed to stretch.
B – Center front length
For pants, lay the garment flat and measure from the center of the crotch seam (right where the legs meet) to the bottom of the front waistband.
C – Center back length
For pants, lay the garment flat and measure from the center of the crotch seam (right where the legs meet) to the top of the back waistband.
O – Hip
Lay the garment flat and begin measuring from one side of the garment to the other across the fullest part of the hips, which is usually 7 to 9 inches below the waist. This measurement is then doubled to get the full hip size.
X – Inleg
Measured down from the middle of the crotch to just below the ankle bone.
Y – Outer lenght including waist
Lay the garment flat and face up. Measure the distance from the top edge of the waistband to the bottom edge of the leg. This measurement gives you the outer length of the garment including the waist.
Z – Thigh at crotch
The thigh circumference is measured around the widest part of your thigh. This is about 4-5 cm (1.6 – 2″) below your crotch. This measurement ensures that the freedom of movement in the trousers is not restricted by too tight pants.
A – Hem
Measurements of the garment in centimetres’ laying down from side seam to side seam at hem – measured in a straight line, not around any curve in the hem.
